The Russian authorities took away the right to manage Pulkovo Airport from the Cypriot structure. The corresponding decree was signed by the country’s President Vladimir Putin.
The text notes that the decision was made in connection with “a threat to national interests and economic security.” The new owner of the airport management company will be VSS Holding LLC, which will be created specifically for this purpose. The structure will be given 100% of the shares of the airport management company Northern Capital Gateway.
Previously, the shares belonged to the Cypriot structure Thalita Trading Limited. Its co-owners will receive shares in proportion to their ownership in the Cypriot structure, but the rights to dispose of foreign votes will temporarily be given to Russian companies – Advanced Industrial and Infrastructure Technologies-7 LLC and Air Gates of the Northern Capital LLC, RBC clarifies.
The media notes that the last company received management of the airport in 2010 for a period of 30 years. Its co-owners through the Cypriot structure were VTB (25.01%), the German holding Fraport (25%), the Qatar investment fund QIA (24.99%) and a consortium of investors with the participation of RDIF, Mubadala from the UAE and Baring Vostok (25%) .
