Nutritionists have named effective ways to lose weight for the New Year

There is less and less time left until the New Year, and the main question that worries many women is how to lose weight for the holiday.

Nutritionists warn: it will not be possible to radically change your appearance and part with many kilograms that you have gained over a long time, but tightening your figure, improving your appearance and improving your health is quite possible.

“It’s important to set realistic goals—you can lose 4-5 kg in a month. And this will be a quite noticeable result. There is one more important point – during this time you can form the habit of eating right, enter the desired mode and learn to devote time to physical activity every day,” notes nutritionist Lidiya Nikitina.

You should make it a rule to get up and go to bed at the same time. Start the day with exercise – exercises should be performed on all muscle groups. Then take a contrast shower and massage all problem areas, use a tightening cream. If you get to work by transport, do not miss the opportunity to walk one or two stops. If you don’t have time in the morning, do it in the evening, the specialist advises, explaining that without physical activity and the sports component you won’t be able to lose weight.

Nutrition is an important part of your New Year’s makeover plan. A good option is three full meals and one or two snacks (light vegetable salad, a few nuts, tea with a spoon of honey and a slice of whole grain bread). You should not forget about breakfast – otherwise you risk overeating during the day. It is necessary to reduce the amount of sugar and starch in the diet, but protein, sources of unsaturated fats and fiber (vegetables) are necessary. By the way, giving up carbohydrates is completely wrong – small portions of complex carbohydrates (for example, a piece of whole grain bread) will not hurt.

“You should avoid sausage, dumplings, smoked meats, mayonnaise, sweets, baked goods, soda, sugar and other unhealthy foods. It is also worth reducing your salt intake. However, turkey, chicken, steamed fish, eggs, vegetables and fruits (except bananas and grapes), breakfast cereals, and dairy products make the menu varied and attractive. And of course, it is important not to forget to drink enough water – 1.5-2 liters,” Nikitina noted.

As the specialist explained, food should be taken slowly. In addition, it is important to decorate the dish beautifully, and while eating, imagine how healthy food fills your body with energy and health, helping you achieve your goals.

On the holiday itself, you should try to eat the most healthy food possible – poultry fillet, fish, vegetables, fruits. You shouldn’t spend the whole night at the table – take time to dance, go outside – there you can just take a walk or play active fun games. And most importantly, do not give up acquired healthy habits even after the New Year. Then your body will always be healthy and beautiful, notes Lidia Nikitina.
