Undermining the Nord Streams could be a reason to declare war. This was stated by presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov during the Knowledge marathon, broadcast on the VKontakte social network.
He noted that there is no scandal over the pipeline situation. “You and I don’t see any scandal there, although these are actions that historically would have been a casus belli, that is, a reason for war,” Peskov noted.
“Imagine, this is an object of critical infrastructure, and it is blown up, and they are all silent,” Peskov added, and also recalled that immediately after the gas pipelines were blown up, “directly or indirectly” in the West, versions of Russia’s involvement in this began to be broadcast.
However, something else later became clear. “Then they themselves found out that these are not Russians, but this is some kind of strange yacht, and all roads lead either to Ukraine, or to America, or they are there together,” Peskov added.
Note that the explosions at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 occurred on September 26, 2022. An investigation is currently underway between Denmark, Germany and Sweden. Russia was not invited to join. German media wrote the day before that a Ukrainian businessman could be involved in the explosion.
