It finally became clear whether eating bread every day is harmful

Bread is a product that is on almost every table, and it is hardly possible to imagine a typical Russian lunch or dinner without it. However, is such frequent consumption of bread harmful to health? Doctor Nadezhda Podkorytova decided to look into this issue, writes the Izvestia newspaper.

The doctor came to a disappointing conclusion: people who eat a lot of bread have an increased risk of developing a number of diseases. According to her, excess bread in the diet leads to heart disease, diabetes and other pathologies.

The doctor is confident that frequent consumption of bread can lead to increased blood cholesterol, insulin resistance, excess body weight gain with subsequent development of diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases.

At the same time, the doctor considers white bread made from premium flour to be the most harmful, because it is devoid of fiber and nutrients. But varieties of whole grain flour are healthier – they contain vegetable protein, iron and calcium, B vitamins, PP, dietary fiber, and fiber.

Moreover, the doctor called the habit of eating bread with other foods, first and second courses, harmful. In her opinion, it is better not to eat pasta, dumplings, potatoes, porridge with bread, because all these foods are already saturated with carbohydrates, and as a result, bread will only increase the total carbohydrate load on the pancreas. Also, you should not eat sweets and fruits with bread, as this combination provokes fermentation in the intestines and stimulates excess insulin production.

The doctor “allowed” me to eat bread with herbs, vegetables, ready-made salads and light soups.
