In St. Petersburg there is a shortage of representatives of blue-collar professions. This follows from a study by the job search service hh.ru, the authors of which compiled the top most scarce professions in October, writes Delovoy Peterburg.
Thus, in the Northern capital there is an oversupply of personnel associated with creativity and mental activity. The city has the most directors and screenwriters (124 resumes per vacancy), strategy consultants (82 people per job), creative directors, flight attendants (55), producers (46) and translators (45).
At the same time, the Northern capital is acutely short of janitors (1.2 candidates per vacancy), salespeople (1.7), car mechanics (1.7), lathe operators (1.8) and cleaners (1.8).
In the country as a whole, the situation is approximately the same – the biggest shortage is of janitors – 0.8 resumes per vacancy, turners (0.9), cooks (1.3), salesmen (1.4) and car mechanics (1.4). The top 5 professions in surplus included flight attendant, art director, game designer, psychologist and journalist.
Negative demographic processes in the country are said to be the main reason for the personnel shortage. Mention is also made of the demographic hole of the 90s and 2000s. The situation on the labor market was also aggravated by events that occurred after 2020, the study noted.
