The election result of the presidential definition opens the possibility for the new president to assume his historic role and reach agreements with sectors that want to contribute to the search for solutions to pressing internal problems, including security, employment, social, economic, health, education, social protection.

His relationship with the legislative blocs will be decisive, even more so when he needs to reach transparent agreements with the democratic sectors that can enable him to manage in such a short period of time. Although there are vested interests in politics and all kinds of things happen, we should think about an agreement with those who gathered to destabilize the country and overthrow the outgoing president, who hastened the closure of the Assembly and led to the current state of crisis.

The experience is fresh even though forgetfulness, friendship and seaside business relationship could prevail, without thinking about the people, the country and its future government. All the more if later, with the right he has, he thinks about re-election. Those two sectors are at least experts at blackmail and constant pressure, even though their leaders operate from the shadows. Always lobbyists, who use politics to make a comfortable living from it.

Some of them have a political agenda that, even though they lost in the last elections, with their political model of the failed socialism of the 11th century that is passing through the region, they try to return to power at any cost and establish a regime like the Venezuelan one, which they admire so much and say is better than ours, even though more than seven million people fled from that country.

This is why the US ambassador in Quito, for the record, was clear when commenting on the election results: the peaceful voting of the entire national population on Sunday was a clear and strong signal. A firm yes in favor of democracy and a strong no to drug dealers, terrorists and narco-terrorists. Not to their fronts who launder money, distort legal processes or corrupt public officials.

Those statements hurt so much that they immediately responded with insults because they felt insulted. And when I think that during the campaign they said that they were open to reaching an agreement on security issues with the United States. Double discourse, double standards.

The president-elect is called upon to lead the process of reaching a national agreement from the first day of his mandate and to convene a national consultation from the very beginning, which was offered with urgent topics: security, job creation, health, education, social security, necessary political reform and a damaged judiciary, which is affected by the questionable judgments of certain venal judges, the obvious patience of the administrative and disciplinary body of the judiciary and the Constitutional Court.

As much as he tries to be pragmatic, he must think about the future of the country and promote the restoration of trust, which goes beyond stories and political image, and for the new president to be loyal to the people who not only voted for him, but did so against the latent threat of the current that he represented by the second candidacy.
