In Moscow, the cost of parking on the streets of the capital should be reconsidered once again. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the head of the Probok.net project, Alexander Shumsky.
The cost of an hour of parking in Moscow is becoming less and less sensitive, the auto expert believes, and therefore it is difficult to find a free space even in parking lots with a tariff of 380 rubles per hour.
“Closer to the New Year, there are many who want to come to the shops by car. If there is also a metro station or a large TPU near the shopping center, it becomes very bad in terms of parking, ”Shumsky wrote.
In this regard, the expert came up with a proposal to raise parking prices on the busiest streets, and to lower prices in areas where there are empty spaces. Shumsky called paid parking in Moscow the main “tool to curb unrestricted car use.” “In other megacities of the world, they are fighting more severely with surplus cars – for example, they make a paid entrance, as in London and Stockholm, or they first force themselves to buy a parking space next to their house, as in Tokyo,” recalled the head of the Traffic.net project.
