The Ministry of Education must guarantee that students in Ecuadorian schools will not be affected by the next El Niño phenomenon and the wave of insecurity in the country. (OR)

With increasing uncertainty and the imminent arrival of the El Niño phenomenon, the need to do everything to help mitigate these impacts becomes imperative, especially for students and parents.

The Ministry of Education must agree to ordering virtual classes, for both reasons; and, what needs to be supplemented is access to technology so that students can connect with professors and be able to fully receive their instruction, while teachers in turn can order and grade assigned assignments. In this way, they would be prevented from being in danger of the destruction of the El Niño phenomenon and the existing crime.

Both the Ministry of Education and the current Government will have to exhaust efforts and resources to solve these problems, which should have been prevented in advance, and not repaired at the last minute in the conditions of oblivion and lack of common sense exposed by those who have the obligation to protect the Ecuadorian student the population. In any case, prevention is the healthiest thing. (OR)

New teaching methods must be applied. For example, due to weather phenomena, some students will not be able to go to their study center rooms, which is why they should be able to receive online classes from their homes by doing various activities sent to them by their teachers. On the other hand, the Ministry should ensure that educational institutions have police security in their surroundings. (OR)

If the students are healthy, it will not affect their learning. In the case of climate events such as the next El Niño phenomenon, it would be good if the Ministries of Education and Health cooperate and talk to parents about how to prevent diseases; what to consume so that children have good health and nutrition; the importance of hand washing; etc. On the other hand, regarding insecurity, I believe that the MUP and education should join forces, talk not only with students, but also with parents, about the insecurity and dangers they may encounter outside their institutions, etc. (OR)
