Horrible footage of a girl captured by Hamas militants, lying in a pickup truck without clothes and, presumably, with broken legs – they were unnaturally twisted, went viral on the Internet. One of the men is holding her by the hair.
In these terrible images, mother and relatives identified 22-year-old German citizen Shani Luk by tattoos. A little later, her mother Ricarda Luk stated in a video message that her daughter, as it turned out, was alive, she was in a hospital in the Gaza Strip in critical condition. She needs urgent evacuation.
“We have received information that Shani is alive but has suffered a severe head injury. Her condition is critical, every minute counts,” the woman said and appealed to the German government demanding that they do everything possible to evacuate her daughter from the Palestinian enclave, The Guardian reports.
According to media reports, the girl came to Israel for the Nova Festival, which took place in the south of the country near Gaza. On October 7, the city was attacked by Hamas militants. On social networks, people posted dozens of videos and told how they were hiding in the bushes, furtively recording farewell messages to their loved ones. They, according to them, also watched as the militants killed the victims. Shani Luk was among the hostages. According to Israeli media, the October 7 attack killed more than 200 concertgoers.
