The meteorologist told what other weather surprises await Muscovites

Autumn, which has arrived in the capital region, has already managed to both please and upset local residents – the “double Indian summer” was replaced by a sharp cold snap, rain and even snow.

As Evening Moscow writes, citing Tatyana Pozdnyakova, the chief specialist of the capital’s Meteobureau, over the last three days of rainy weather, about 30% of the monthly rainfall has fallen in the city, and more than half has fallen since the beginning of the month. The first snow fell over the weekend – it was observed in the southwest, south and east.

What other surprises should Muscovites expect? According to Pozdnyakova, the early October frosts will recede in the middle of the working week. “On Wednesday (October 11—ed.) we will be between cyclones. Therefore, no precipitation is expected. Clearances will appear,” the specialist explained. According to her, during the day the sun will warm up. “The temperature will rise to seven degrees Celsius. The next Atlantic cyclone, again very deep, will pass on Thursday. After Thursday nights will be warmer, around seven degrees. In the region – from +3 to +8,” Pozdnyakova noted.

She added that Thursday is expected to be the warmest, although it will be windy and rainy. During the day the temperature will rise to +12…+14 degrees, and in the region +10…+14. “In the next days of the week, the temperature during the daytime hours will remain at +8…+13 degrees,” Pozdnyakova noted. According to her, a period of relatively warm weather will return to the capital, but the meteorologist found it difficult to predict how long it will be.
