Narcologist Brune told how to drink so that the feast does not turn into a hard hangover

Simple rules will help you avoid a severe hangover after the holiday. This, as reported by RIA Novosti, said the chief freelance psychiatrist-narcologist of the Moscow Department of Health Evgeny Brun.

He, in particular, debunked popular myths that during a feast it is necessary to increase the degree of an alcoholic drink. According to him, advice on what should be, for example, “layering” on champagne stronger drinks, harmful, as well as the idea that you can alternate light and strong alcohol.

The advice to eat a little oil an hour before the holiday table is also dangerous. At first, alcohol is not absorbed, but after “the oil goes further along the gastrointestinal tract,” the entire accumulated volume of alcohol is absorbed – an alcoholic shock occurs.

It is not necessary to drink a glass in advance in the hope of “disperse” the body. Thus, the enzyme system is activated, but after a while the enzymes run out – and alcohol begins to turn into acetaldehyde.

But a snack in the form of mashed potatoes will be useful – the absorbing properties of potatoes contribute to the slow absorption of alcohol into the blood.
