Moscow will be covered by a “deep” cyclone. It will bring rain, frost and sleet to the capital, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, as quoted by NSN.

According to the forecaster, the weather will be cloudy and Moscow will be in the cold part of this cyclone. There will be a noticeable drop in temperature by the evening of Saturday, October 7, and at night in Moscow it will be from 0 to 2, in the region from -2 to +3, Vilfand said.

“There were already frosts in September, but they were local. The cooling here will be widespread – both in Moscow and in the region. Today rain is forecast, wind speed up to 15-17 meters per second. On Saturday the temperature will also drop, during the day it will reach 8 degrees, but there will be rain, in some places with sleet. Yes, snowflakes will already fall,” the forecaster added.

He warned that rain awaits Muscovites on both Saturday and Sunday, and low temperatures will remain in the capital throughout the next week. At the same time, on Saturday there will be the heaviest rainfall, up to 20 millimeters. Black ice is also possible in some regions of the Moscow region.

“On Sunday there will be an even more noticeable drop in temperature. Night and day temperatures will not be very different, at night in Moscow from 0 to 3 degrees, in the region up to 2 degrees below zero, maximum values ​​during the day are 2-4 degrees,” Vilfand added and also urged not to expect heat next week. According to his forecast, the temperature at night will be below zero, and during the day no higher than five degrees.
