Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke out in defense of homeless citizens and supported the idea of ​​banning the fishing of cetaceans in the Russian Federation for cultural and entertainment purposes.

Also, the president, commenting on the story of the “whale prison” in Primorye, supported the idea of ​​banning the fishing of cetaceans in the Russian Federation for cultural and entertainment purposes.

The President recalled that marine mammals can be caught by indigenous peoples around the world. Another reason is fishing for educational, cultural and educational purposes. According to him, the infamous “whale prison” was created under the guise of one of the permitted types of fishing. According to Putin, amendments could be adopted that would exclude commercial and recreational fishing for whales.
