The social network Instagram plans to prohibit the registration of accounts of children under 13 years old and the correspondence of adults with minors. Now social network programmers are developing these new algorithms, said the head of the company Adam Mosseri.
As reported News.ru, it is assumed that the conceived algorithm will allow Instagram to track the accounts of children under 13 and delete them automatically. Also, adult Instagram users will not be able to send private messages to teens. Another Instagram initiative, according to Mosseri, is to use algorithms to identify those over or under 18 to create a more age-appropriate in-app environment.
We will remind, earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the reasons for the spread of bullying in schools are associated with social networks. “This bullying, as you said, is the advancement of Western culture into our society, although this has nothing to do with culture, these are behaviors, demeanors imposed, by the way, very often on social networks. Western parliaments are now actively discussing the impact of these international platforms on the formation of the consciousness of the younger generation, on the upbringing of the younger generation, on the negative impact on the psyche of adolescents and children, “Putin said at a meeting with members of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights. (HRC).
