The Belgian cyclist Nathan Van Hooydonck (Jumbo-Visma) is in serious condition after having suffered an accident while driving a car, his team reported today.
“He was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving medical attention. We cannot confirm the rumors about his critical condition,” his team said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
The vehicle of the 27-year-old cyclist was involved in an accident in which five cars were affected this morning around 8:30 a.m. in the town of Kalmthout (northern Belgium).
