Russia could temporarily suspend diplomatic relations with the European Union and withdraw diplomatic personnel to Russia. “It would be better,” says Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who published a statement on his Telegram channel, commenting on the ban established by the European Commission for Russian citizens to enter the EU in cars with Russian license plates and to carry some personal belongings.
“It would be better to simply temporarily suspend diplomatic relations with the EU. And bring diplomatic personnel to our country,” Medvedev wrote, noting that this could scare officials in Brussels. “For embassies are evacuated before very specific events. Who knows what else these orcs in quilted jackets from endless Mordor are capable of…,” Medvedev noted.
He also added that the leaders of the European Union “directly and without pretense told all Russians: you are second-class citizens for us.” In his opinion, “this is a concrete slap in the face of every citizen of Russia.” “What should we do about it? Definitely not to introduce retaliatory restrictions for EU citizens. We are not racists…” wrote the deputy chairman of the Security Council, adding that “those who come to the Russian Federation usually love and appreciate it.”
Let us remind you that earlier the European Commission banned Russians from entering EU countries in cars registered in the Russian Federation and from transporting certain personal items, including phones, toilet paper, and shampoos.
