The vast majority of potential buyers (82%) believe that now is not the best time to buy a new car, according to Romir’s research.
As noted in the materials, this point of view is especially typical for owners of cars who purchased them more than 10 years ago (86%) 10 years and older: they compare previous prices with current ones and consider them overpriced. At the same time, 71% of those participating in the survey said that they expect a further rise in car prices in the next two months.
At the same time, the study recorded an increase in the number of respondents who consider this period as favorable for selling cars (over six months their number increased from 31% to 41%).
At the same time, respondents note an expansion in the range of cars offered for sale (over six months, the share of those who answered positively to this question increased from 18% to 28%). However, as Romira Lyudmila Fukova, senior director for customer relations, notes, the limitation of the budget segment (up to 2 million rubles) by domestic brands and a number of Chinese models “leads to the fact that buyers are less interested in the new car market, and first of all they consider used “
