The Russian army and division commanders were accused of bribery. The Kommersant newspaper writes about this, citing its sources.
The media notes that we are talking about Major General Konstantin Ogienko, who served as commander of the 1st Order of Lenin, the Special Purpose Air and Missile Defense Army. This unit was engaged in protecting the sky over the Moscow region. Also under investigation was another major general, commander of the 4th air defense division, Dmitry Belyatsky.
According to investigators, Bialiatski, on behalf of Ohiyenko, organized bribes to transfer defense land to a civilian organization. The goal was to receive 30 million rubles from the company, but they got only 500 thousand.
Ohiyenko denies his guilt, and Byalyatsky made a deal with the investigation. The first is in a pre-trial detention center, and the repentant commander Bialiatsky was released from custody, having been transferred to house arrest for the next three months. He was forbidden to leave the house, use any means of communication, the Internet, and contact with the defendants in the investigation.
The investigation and the Ministry of Defense are conducting an inventory of the defense and security lands assigned to the 1st Air Defense Army, the newspaper notes. It is specified that representatives of the command of the air and missile defense forces, which include the army, are being checked for bribes.
