“MK”: The wife of Pashinyan, who criticized the Russian Federation, arrived in Kyiv

The wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Anna Hakobyan, arrived in the Ukrainian capital for the first time. She plans to take part in the summit of first ladies and spouses, Armenian media reported.

The event is dedicated to mental health. This is a project of the wife of Ukrainian President Olena Zelenskaya. It was first held in 2021.

According to MK, Hakobyan went to Ukraine with a batch of humanitarian aid.

The Prime Minister of Armenia himself has not yet been on a visit to Ukraine. The day before, he made reproaches against Russia. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, he said that Armenia’s security dependence on Russia is a mistake. According to him, “today, when Russia needs weapons and ammunition, it is clear that even if it wanted to, the Russian Federation would not be able to provide Armenia’s security needs.” At the same time, Russia, according to the Prime Minister of Armenia, is moving away from him due to its actions or inaction in the South Caucasus. He also reproached Moscow for the fact that the Russian peacekeeping forces are not fulfilling their mission according to the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, they do not control the Lachin corridor to Nagorno-Karabakh. According to him, Russia either cannot or does not want to maintain control over this corridor.
