Real Sociedad beat Granada 5-3 this Saturday, September 2 at the Royal Arena in the fourth day of LaLiga EA Sports and reaped his first win of the 2023-2024 season. The txuri-urdin team has 6 points in the classification and remains undefeated after adding three draws and one win in four games.

The txuri-urdin team took possession of the ball from the beginning and began to approach the rival goal, although it was difficult for them to generate clear scoring chances. However, in the 9th minute, Real’s dominance had a prize: Take Kubo scored 1-0 after receiving a long pass, stepping on the area and beating goalkeeper Raúl Fernández with a low shot.

After the first goal of the match, the San Sebastián team maintained control of the game. Granada improved in defensive tasks and tried to create danger through counterattacks, but without embarrassing the royalist goalkeeper Álex Remiro.

Not much was happening in the match, but in the 35th minute, in a favorable corner for the visitors Le Normand scored an own goal and Granada managed to tie (1-1).

Real Sociedad went on the attack after conceding the goal, and were back ahead on the scoreboard in the 40th minute: Kubo scored again (2-1) and he did it with a great shot from outside the area that slipped through the corner of the goal defended by Raúl Fernández.

Furthermore, before the break, the txuri-urdin team was able to extend their lead, but Barrenetxea’s shot went wide after an error made by Raúl Fernández.

In the second half, Real was better than the rival and their superiority translated into goals. At minute 59 Zubimendi scored the goal that made it 3-1; Brais Méndez saw the player from San Sebastian uncheck and he sent his shot into the back of the rival goal.

The third txuri-urdin goal gave peace of mind to the team led by Imanol Alguacil, who continued to be the master of the game. So, at minute 67, Barrenetxea made it 4-1 on the scoreboard after receiving a Oyarzabal’s great heel pass and beat Raúl Fernández.

With the 4-1 draw, Real left the match practically doomed, but also, in the 76th minute, the San Sebastián team increased their advantage thanks to a own goal by Miki Bosch (5-1).

With that last goal, the game was seen for judgment, although Granada sought to make up the result and succeeded. In the 83rd minute he arrived 5-2 through a goal scored by Lucas Boyé.

In addition, the Andalusian team had time to score another goal; specifically, the one Bryan Zaragoza put in to make it 5-3 in the electronic of the Reale Arena in minute 98.

La Real had clear chances to score their sixth goal, but they were not successful against the rival’s goal and in the end the txuri-urdin team took the 3 points with the final result of 5-3.
