The head of the Russian state, within the framework of the projects of the platform “Russia – a country of opportunities”, held an open lesson “Talk about the important”, in which 30 schoolchildren with outstanding academic achievements, winners of international olympiads and competitions, took part, the official website of the Kremlin reports. Among them are two students from St. Petersburg.
Opening the lesson, Vladimir Putin congratulated all schoolchildren, students, teachers and their families on Knowledge Day and wished them success in the new academic year.
Addressing the students, the head of state stressed that Russia still remains invincible, as in the most significant moments of its history. “I understood why we won the Great Patriotic War: it is impossible to defeat such a people with such a mindset. We were absolutely invincible. And now we are,” he stressed.
The President also announced a new family competition in Russia, designed to contribute to the development of traditional values. “We agreed that from September 4 it will be possible to apply for participation in such projects. We are talking about families with children, we would very much like representatives of different generations of families to take part in the competition in order to show how the family develops, how knowledge is transmitted, our traditional family values from generation to generation, what is the significance of the family in our society and in maintaining our traditional values on which our entire state stands,” Putin said.
In addition, the head of state noted the rapid development of unmanned aircraft in Russia. According to him, even one million specialists in this industry may not be enough for our country.
As for artificial intelligence, according to Putin, it will not be able to replace teachers in schools, but for now it can only act as a tool to help the teacher.
Putin also said that in the next two and a half years, 1.9 trillion rubles are planned to be allocated from federal sources alone for the development of new regions, the inhabitants of which, according to him, are energetic and ready to work, but they need support.
Stressing that the center of economic and political life in the world would gradually shift to Asia for objective reasons, the Russian leader said that he would soon have a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Last year, on September 1, Vladimir Putin held an open lesson “Talk about the Important” in Kaliningrad, which also included winners of olympiads and competitions in the field of culture, art, science and sports.
Classes “Conversations about the important” were introduced into the programs of educational organizations of primary, basic, secondary general and vocational education in 2022. They are the first in the Monday class schedule, after the flag-raising and Russian national anthem lines. The main topics of “Conversations about the Important” are related to key aspects of human life in modern Russia, the strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and the education of patriotism.
Earlier this Friday, Vladimir Putin took part via videoconference in the opening of new educational institutions in five regions of the Russian Federation, and before that, together with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, he also launched the construction of three secondary schools with instruction in Russian in Kyrgyz Bishkek via video link, Batken and Karakol.
