Subjects on a motorcycle participated in the crime of a 23-year-old citizen on Patria Nueva street in the urban parish Venus del Río, in the city of Quevedo, Los Ríos province, last Sunday night.
According to witnesses, two men who were mobilizing on a motorcycle arrived in the area and one of them got out of the car to shoot the victim, identified as Michael Hidalgo, twice and then flee to an unknown destination.
The murder was allegedly carried out when the victim was walking home after leaving a grocery store, they reported.
The roar of the shots alarmed the inhabitants of the sector, who left their homes and realized that the man was lying in the street and had head injuries. Although several people took him to a local health home, the doctors only confirmed his death.
“In general, these crimes are related to territorial fights for the sale of narcotics, despite the fact that this time the victim does not have a criminal record, but there is a relationship with the discord of criminal organizations that operate in the city. We are working on the investigations to find the whereabouts of the criminal (s), ”said the chief in charge of the Quevedo District Police, Renán Miller.
