The meeting rewards the best unpublished songs by new artists in the region on December 7, 8 and 9. Kiara participates with ‘How I miss you’.
With the theme How I miss you, the Guayaquil Kiara acosta will face other emerging Latin American artists in the ninth edition of the Punta del Este International Song Festival (Uruguay), which rewards unpublished creations of new performers and composers from the region. The meeting takes place this Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 December.
The melody was composed and written by the 31-year-old singer, with arrangements by the local producer. Javier Marin, and includes sounds from the zampoña (Andean instrument) thanks to the intervention of the musician Luis Galvez, who has also been Kiara’s teacher in her music career. The composition has a video made in Guayaquil during confinement by Shoot Productions, who in turn are competing in the best video clip category in the same artistic meeting.
Because, Kiara (To dry, as she prefers to be recognized artistically) not only does she carry in her travel suitcase her aspirations and her dream of winning in the field of the best unpublished song, but also the collaborative spirit of Ecuadorians and make it known in other geographies.
“I am very proud to participate in this festivalUnlike others, he rates the great compositions, not just the performances. The jury evaluates the subjects during a year to the artists who are applying. I’m going with my own music, my own creation, that has generated many expectations”, Illustrates the artist who began to make her voice known since she formed the ranks of the Santiago de las Praderas school choir, with which she participated in the VI International Festival of Singing Children of Viña del Mar (Chile).
Some of the public may even remember Kiara as one of the finalists of reality Cántalo (canal One) in 2011, from which he came out with the goal of becoming a singer-songwriter. Along this path, he sang in bands that play at events and one of these groups is Canela Enterprise, together with the doctor, pianist and musical director Venancio Larrea and other artists from realities, mentions Kiara, as Magda Salinas (winner of the fifth Fame or drama), the coach Joseph Haz, “one of my teachers”, and Noemí Conde.
“It was a big group!”, Evokes the artist. “There I gained a lot of experience that improved my hearing level.” Justly, this was the kick to fulfill its objective. “In 2016 I decided to launch myself as a singer-songwriter, the following year I held an acoustic concert at the Municipal Museum of Guayaquil, where I showed all my unpublished songs and I fulfilled my promise that I was going to return, that my dream was to return with unreleased songs.”
And his dream continues to grow. The singer, in whose artistic training also highlights the mentoring of Ana María Escarpa (her first singing teacher), Maria Elena Vallejo, Yanina murga and Maite Palacios, now seeks to reap opportunities in Uruguay. “There are many talent scouts, there is a very large art industry outside and I would love for them to meet me, for a talent scout or producer to discover me like many artists who have happened this way,” the interpreter points out.
