Podolyak announced a secret meeting of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with NATO generals

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny secretly met with two high-ranking NATO military personnel. This information was disseminated by The Guardian newspaper. Later, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the presidential office, confirmed the data.

He declined to discuss details.

“This is a secret meeting for the media. Zaluzhny actively communicates with representatives of the ministries of defense or the general staffs of our partners. Almost every day,” Podolyak added on the air of the telethon.

According to him, such consultations are held regularly, “especially with partners from the US and the UK,” but he refused to declassify the details, Kommersant writes.

According to the British The Guardian, the meeting took place on the Polish-Ukrainian border. Its goal was to reset the military strategy of Ukraine, as well as to discuss the stalled progress of the counteroffensive, the newspaper notes. The media named Commander-in-Chief of the United NATO Armed Forces in Europe Christopher Cavoli and British Chief of Defense Staff Anthony Radakin as participants in the talks. The newspaper also added that after this meeting, the Ukrainian military supposedly should be more focused on the Zaporozhye front.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States insisted that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concentrate the strike towards Tokmok in the south, and not disperse forces along the entire line of contact.
