In Kostroma, a bear came out of the forest, ran to a shopping center and climbed a tree, frightened by cars. The animal was euthanized and taken out of the city.

The bear was spotted near Tkachey Street, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Kostroma Region reported. First, he tried to attack two men, walked through the streets to the shopping center, and then, frightened by cars, climbed a tree to a height of about 15 m.

Rescuers were called to the scene of the incident, who gave the animal sleeping pills, which allowed it to be lowered to the ground. As a result, the bear was carried on a stretcher to the car and taken back to the forest, TASS was told in the Department of Natural Resources of the Kostroma Region.

Experts suggested that the bear could take to the streets due to noisy tourists. “People relax in nature – they create noise, turn on music, in connection with which the animals begin to look for quieter places and accidentally end up in the city,” the department noted.

Earlier it was reported that in Yakutia, a man shouted to drive away a bear that attacked his wife.
