Russia may return to the grain deal if its conditions are met. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an address to the BRICS forum, noting that Russia is deliberately obstructed in the supply of grain and fertilizers abroad.
According to him, “none of the terms of the so-called deal regarding the withdrawal from sanctions of Russian exports of grain and fertilizers to world markets have been implemented. “Obligations to Russia in this regard were simply ignored,” the head of state said.
Putin recalled that since July 18, the Russian Federation refused to further extend the deal, but announced its readiness to return to it under certain conditions. “Only in the case of real fulfillment of all obligations to the Russian side,” he stressed.
The President of the Russian Federation also spoke about an alternative to Ukrainian grain after withdrawing from the food agreement. “I have repeatedly said that our country is able to replace Ukrainian grain both on a commercial basis and in the form of gratuitous assistance to countries in need, especially since we again expect an excellent harvest this year,” Putin explained.
Earlier it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would visit Russia to discuss a “grain deal” with Putin.
