A number of sites that offered excursions along the Neglinnaya underground river in Moscow stopped bookings for upcoming dates or deleted pages with underground walks in the capital after the death of tourists in the sewer, writes Interfax.
“In Moscow, a tour of underground collectors has been temporarily suspended due to the death of tourists on August 20 during a heavy rain. Investigative measures are being carried out, the number, names and location of all participants in the excursion are being established, ”the message published on the portal for tourists of the capital Moskultura says.
In addition, several sites that offered excursions with diggers have removed information about these walks.
Earlier it was reported that a group of tourists, presumably from 8 people, went on an excursion with diggers along Neglinnaya on August 20, when a downpour hit the capital. Due to a sharp rise in the water level underground, the collector, along with people, flooded. According to the latest data, rescuers found three dead. A criminal case has been initiated into the incident.
