Super-intense rainfall hit the capital from 15:00 to 16:00 Sunday, the press service of the municipal economy complex reports in its Telegram channel.
“In some areas, more than 40% of the monthly rainfall fell in less than an hour. Wind gusts reached 16 m / s, hail was recorded in some areas, ”the message says.
The mayor’s office specified that the largest amount of precipitation was recorded in the North-Eastern (33 mm), Northern (30 mm) and North-Western (30 mm) administrative districts. Brigades Mosvodostok is working on opening water intake grates for the unhindered passage of rainwater. “If necessary, pumping equipment is used,” the message emphasizes. The authorities are asking citizens to refrain from being outside in bad weather, and if necessary, to be extremely careful.
Deptrans, in turn, warned that due to weather conditions in Moscow, local delays in ground transport are possible.
Several shopping centers and the Maryina Roshcha BKL station were flooded, TASS reports in emergency services. Watopiled, in particular, the DNS equipment store in the Moscow shopping center “Park 11” near the metro station “Dmitrovskaya” and the shopping center “Chocolate” in Reutov. Visitors were asked to leave the premises for safety reasons.
