Russia will agree to resume the grain deal only if all its demands are met, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov said in an interview with TGRT Haber TV channel.
“This is a package agreement that provides not only for the export of Ukrainian grain, but also for the creation of conditions for unhindered access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets. Here we are talking about reconnecting Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, resuming supplies of agricultural machinery and spare parts, providing transport logistics and insurance, and restoring access for Russian companies to their assets abroad. None of these requirements were met,” the ambassador stressed.
He also recalled that Moscow’s demands include the resumption of operation of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline, damaged by an explosion in June 2023.
In addition, Yerkhov accused Kyiv of using the sea corridor, through which dry cargo ships with agricultural products left, to organize “terrorist attacks on Sevastopol, the Crimean bridge and Russian ships.”
