The military leadership of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) is to blame for the failure of the summer counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in the materials of the Ukrainian media, excerpts from which are quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the agency, publications write that NATO instructors are responsible for the failures of the Ukrainian army. “This is exactly a failure – after which our headquarters began to act in their own way, ignoring Western theoretical advisers who have little understanding of what is happening here,” the publications say.
It is also emphasized there that air dominance plays a key role in NATO doctrines, and this is precisely what the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have. The media are reminded that the United States refused to transfer the F-16 to Ukraine, fearing that the Russian army could shoot them down, and this would demonstrate the ineffectiveness of Western efforts to support Kyiv.
Recall that earlier The New York Times, citing Western officials and analysts, reported that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since February 2022 exceeded 150 thousand people killed and wounded. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, since the beginning of the “counteroffensive”, in June-July, the Ukrainian troops have lost more than 43 thousand people and over 4.9 thousand weapons.
