The Ministry of Defense reported a second Ukrainian missile shot down near the Crimean bridge. It was destroyed by Russian air defense systems.
The department clarified that a new strike attempt was recorded around 15:00 on August 12. The type of the second missile is the same as in the previous attack – the S-200 anti-aircraft guided missile converted into a strike version.
“A Ukrainian missile was detected and shot down in the air,” the Defense Ministry said, noting that there were no damage or casualties.
To date, traffic on the Crimean bridge has been restored.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has already commented on the attacks on the Crimean bridge, saying that “such barbaric actions” will not go unanswered.
“We strongly condemn these terrorist attacks. The Crimean bridge is an object of purely civilian infrastructure, attacks on which are unacceptable, ”said the official representative of the department, Maria Zakharova. She also recalled that the facility has been under attack since the fall of 2022.
Recall that earlier the attack on the Crimean bridge was undertaken at 13:00 Moscow time.
