Even before the start of the special military operation (SVO), a number of countries began to arm Ukraine. The country received weapons and ammunition from 20 states, the press service of the RF IC reported.

“Prior to the start of the special military operation, weapons and ammunition were received from 20 states, of which 16 are NATO members. It has been established that after the start of the SVO, a significant increase in the volume of such supplies and an increase in the number of supplier countries was recorded, ”the message says, TASS reports.

The Investigative Committee added that Ukraine was given weapons with higher destructive properties and a greater range. “These are anti-tank and portable anti-aircraft missile systems, artillery mounts, howitzers, multiple launch rocket systems, armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater and surface drones,” the UK said.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby admitted on Fox News that the United States supplied Ukraine with weapons long before the start of the JMD. “The first billion dollars that the US President allocated to Ukraine did indeed include lethal aid. And this was before the special operation launched by the Russian Federation,” he stressed, noting also that “the education and training of Ukrainians had been conducted for eight years.” “The United States, Canada, Great Britain, other allies really helped train the Ukrainians in small unit management, command and control, operational maneuver,” Kirby admitted.
