Microsoft will stop renewing subscriptions for corporate clients in Russia after September 30, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the company’s support service.
The support team confirmed that they sent out a message to customers regarding Microsoft 365 enterprise subscriptions. “Microsoft can no longer accept money transfers to a local bank account as payments for services in Russia,” the company said in a letter.
Microsoft 365 includes Outlook, Teams, Office, OneDrive, Sharepoint services.
“As we reported earlier, Microsoft is suspending the launch of new products, the sale of services, and many other aspects of its activities in Russia in accordance with sanctions from the European Union, Great Britain and the United States,” the company’s press service quoted RBC as saying.
Microsoft announced the suspension of sales of products and services in Russia in March 2022 after the start of the military operation in Ukraine. Later, the head of the company, Brad Smith, said that it would continue to reduce business in Russia, “until there was nothing left.”
The company has stopped warranty service for all Xbox consoles in Russia and removed Russian servers that speed up content downloads. She also limited the ability to install Windows 11 for Russians, but returned this opportunity three months later.
