The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the arrest of the technical director of the Piro-Ross company in connection with the explosion in Sergiev Posad.
Investigators on Thursday, August 10, came with searches to the office of the company, during which documents were seized, including job descriptions of employees, the press service of the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Moscow Region reported.
They noted that the criminal case was transferred to the investigation by the apparatus of the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR in the Moscow Region. As part of the investigation of the case, the ICR will assess the legality of the pyrotechnics in a warehouse on the territory of the plant. The investigators ordered explosive, physical-chemical, ballistic and explosive technological examinations. To date, 34 people have been interrogated.
According to the latest data, more than 60 people applied for medical help, one woman died in the hospital. Nine more people are still missing.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, after the explosion, 14 people remain under treatment at the Sergiev Posad hospital, three are in serious condition in intensive care.
Recall that on the morning of August 9, an explosion occurred in a pyrotechnics warehouse located on the territory of the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant.
