Since December 4, 2010, the life of Yanera Constante and her family has radically changed. That was the last day he saw his daughter Giovanna Pérez Constante.

He doesn’t know anything about her. All this time he has carried out searches and appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office without obtaining answers about what happened.

Giovanna had gone to the Rodríguez Albornoz school, located on Avenida de los Shyris, where she had to collect her younger sister’s report card, but after that she did not return home.

As the hours passed, the family called her on her cell phone, but without receiving any response.

The mother recalled that the last person her daughter had contact with was Andrés L., whom she had met the day before. He said that on December 4 he called her three times and sent messages inviting him out.

“This December 4 marks eleven years without Giovanna, of lack of efficiency and without justice,” said her mother, recalling that from the first days of her disappearance, suspicions about who would have been the last contact she had were made known .

With frustration he indicated that nothing was done despite the evidence, elements and indications that were had.

It is constantly regretted that the investigation is still in the procedural stage, that there are no perpetrators or accomplices.

When her daughter disappeared, she was 19 years old and was studying the third semester of the Auditing career at the Technical University of Ambato.

She said that she feels that in all these years justice has not been done to her clamor as a mother and her family to know what was the whereabouts, the fate of her daughter.

Given this, on Monday, with the support of the Association of Relatives and Friends of Disappeared Persons in Ecuador (Asfadec), the Committee against Violence, Disappearances and Feminicides (Covidefem) and Red Moon program different activities to demand answers and justice.

He indicated that in the first place at 10:30 in the Judicial complex of Tungurahua they will hold a press conference and then they will go to the Prosecutor’s Office for a sit-in, in these places the disagreement will be announced so that answers can be provided what has generated that the fact remains in impunity.
