President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has convened a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in a special format to discuss the counteroffensive. He announced this in his Telegram channel.

“The narrowest circle of people and maximum attention to a single topic – our offensive,” Zelensky wrote. He added that the topic of the meeting is an analysis of the current situation and actions of Russia, as well as planning future steps and issues of providing the troops with everything they need.

The Ukrainian leader said that the meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander of the Tavria group Oleksandr Tarnavsky, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been going on since the beginning of June. The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported on repulsing attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Ukraine’s counter-offensive has “failed.” Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov acknowledged that the Ukrainian offensive was “behind schedule.”
