The report was published on August 7 this year and talks about the state for 2022. Inspectors inspected 705 out of 1,410 existing and registered . Unfortunately, the conclusions of the report are not optimistic. There have been failures in many companies.
GIS inspected funeral homes. There have been many irregularities
The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate published a report on “”. GIS took a closer look at funeral homes, and the results leave much to be desired. There were almost 30 irregularities in the inspected funeral homes. The report shows that in 15 cases, inspectors discovered negligence in hygienic, sanitary and technical issues, i.e. improper storage or preparation of corpses. Reservations also concerned devices (e.g. cold rooms) and rooms where corpses were kept and where relatives came to say goodbye to the dead. Other cases are negligence in the disinfection of caravans.

The inspectors also had reservations about the maintenance of equipment used for funeral ceremonies and exhumation. Employees of funeral parlors did not have personal protective equipment and in 121 cases they did not have valid medical examinations. There was also much to be desired regarding the storage of the waste resulting from the preparation of the corpse for burial.
