In Russia, coffee and tea prices will rise sharply. An increase in the cost is expected by autumn, writes Kommersant, citing information received from manufacturers of these products.

The newspaper notes that prices may soar from September due to the depreciation of the ruble, which led to a rise in the cost of imports. The publication cites information from a letter from the May company (Maisky, Lisma, Curtis, Richard, Coffesso brands) to retailers, which refers to an increase in selling prices by 6-9%. In the letter, the manufacturer complains about the difficult situation. The text also emphasizes that it will not be possible to do without rising prices, since the share of imported raw materials and materials in total exceeds 80%. JDE (Jacobs, L`OR, Tassimo, Pickwick), Orimi (Greenfield, Tess, Jardin) and coffee maker Madeo also issued warnings.

The newspaper also assumes that by winter the increase in prices for tea and coffee will reach 20%, because the raw materials purchased with the dollar at 75 rubles will run out.

Earlier it was reported that by autumn the prices for sausages and frankfurters in Russia could grow by 5-10%, due to a sharp increase in the cost of meat.
