The citizen who was riding a motorcycle was apparently hit by a public transport bus.
CALCETA, Manabí
Venezuelan citizen Erick Párraga Parra, 21, died in a traffic accident outside the Calceta land terminal, Bolívar canton, in Manabí. The event occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Friday the 3rd.
As seen in security camera images, the citizen, who was riding a motorcycle, was hit by an intercantonal public transport bus.
Friends of the deceased stated that Párraga, known as El Chamo, was engaged in carrying parcels on a motorcycle and that the bus allegedly had disrespected the red light of a traffic light.
Uniformed police officers and agents from the Traffic Accident Investigation Office (OIAT) of the Ecuadorian Traffic Commission mobilized to the area in response to the emergency.
There, the teams collaborated in the removal of the body and subsequent transfer to the Manta Forensic Center; and the motorcycle and the bus, to the vehicle retention yards, respectively. (I)
