An 11-year-old girl has been wanted by her mother since last Tuesday when she disappeared from her home, located in the Palma Sola site, belonging to the El Carmen canton, in the north of Manabí.
The incident was denounced by Sonia Chávez, mother of the minor Odalys A. Ch. V., last Thursday at the Office of the State Attorney General in that canton in the north of Manabí.
The woman stated that her daughter resides with her maternal grandmother and pointed to a brother-in-law as allegedly responsible for the alleged kidnapping of the minor.
That relative works on a farm that is located across the street from where the minor and her grandmother lived, the complainant indicated.
The girl went almost daily to the farm located in front of her home, since there she could connect to the internet and complete her school activities.
The girl’s grandmother and mother-in-law of the alleged perpetrator of the abduction indicated that in recent weeks Odalys and Víctor BBP had maintained certain suspicious attitudes, and even the minor only passed by her mobile phone, while the accused of the abduction had also allegedly left to work efficiently on the farm, where he worked as a cowboy.
The police have already learned of the incident and have carried out the corresponding inquiries, but until noon on Friday, December 3, the whereabouts of the minor and the suspect were not known.
“The girl still plays with dolls,” Chávez told the web news portal between tears. Golden Gate, of the canton El Carmen. (I)
