The Government aims to vaccinate 1.5 million more people to reach 85% of the population (15 million) until December 31.
The Secretary General of Communication of the Presidency, Eduardo Bonilla, reported that until this Thursday, December 2, 74.57% of the Ecuadorian population, over 5 years old, has been vaccinated with the two doses against COVID-19.
The Government aims to vaccinate 1.5 million people (10% more than the current percentage) more until December 31 to reach 85% of the population (15 million people) and herd immunity.

In addition, the booster dose, known as the third dose, has been inoculated to 398,874 people.
“There is an important part of the population that is reduced to 1.5 million people who have to take the first and second doses, please go to get vaccinated,” said Bonilla.
