More than a dozen drones were shot down in the skies over Crimea. According to the head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, Ukrainian UAVs were shot down by air defense forces and suppressed by electronic warfare.
He clarified that a drone hit an ammunition depot in the Dzhankoy district, and a private house in the Kirov district was damaged by the wreckage of the drone. For security reasons, railway traffic in the Dzhankoy district and the Dzhankoy-Simferopol highway were suspended, the head of Crimea specified.
The head of the republic urged residents to remain calm.
Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed that an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack by 17 UAVs on objects on the territory of the Crimean peninsula was suppressed at night. “14 Ukrainian UAVs were suppressed by electronic warfare, 11 of them crashed in the Black Sea, 3 more fell on the territory of Crimea. Three drones were destroyed by air defense systems, as a result of the suppressed terrorist attack, there were no victims, ”the ministry noted, the post was published on the Telegram channel.
Earlier it was reported that Moscow was subjected to a night attack by UAVs. According to Sergei Sobyanin, two drones hit non-residential buildings. The Ministry of Defense called the incident an attempt by Kyiv to carry out a terrorist attack.
