State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein said that an armed man who seized a house in the Sherwood cottage settlement in the Istra district of the Moscow region is shouting political slogans and says that he has collected weapons to go on a campaign against the Kremlin. The deputy wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, after the employees of the private security company guarding the village called the district police officer, the man opened fire with automatic weapons, at the same time putting forward political slogans. He also said that he had collected a whole arsenal of weapons to go on a campaign against the Kremlin, Khinshtein specifies.

The deputy pointed out that the identity of the attacker has been established – this is 35-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk Vyacheslav Chernenko. The man found the address of the cottage on the announcement of the sale.

At the same time, attempts to convince Vyacheslav Chernenko to surrender, including with the help of his mother, were unsuccessful, Khinshtein added.

Recall that, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia, today, July 22, an armed man entered a private house in a cottage settlement. The attacker barricaded himself in the house and fired at the police from the windows. Proceedings under Art. 318 and Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat of violence and encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers).

As the Telegram channels wrote, the man shouted that he had recently returned from a military operation in Ukraine, and “God ordered him to get into the cottage.”
