The Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) confirmed fines for S/5 million 540,535 against the Telefónica company.
The resolution of the Board of Directors 215-2023-CD/Osiptel confirms a total of S/3 million 981,285 (804.3 UIT) in fines against Telefónica because it would have breached the objective value of the Minimum Speed Compliance Quality indicator (CVM) of the download speed for 3G and/or 4G technologies, corresponding to the first quarter of 2021, in 11 urban populated centers.
In the same way, the resolution of the Board of Directors 212-2023-CD/Osiptel declared the appeal of the telephone company against Resolution No. 156-2023-GG/OSIPTEL unfounded, and confirms a fine of S/1 million 559,250 (315 UIT).
In this second case, because it would have breached the obligation to allow its subscribers to carry out the migration procedures of tariff plans towards any plan in commercialization according to the System of Information and Registration of Tariffs (SIRT), through the mobile application “Mi Movistar”.
