Washington Alemán, a clinician and infectologist, highlighted vaccination as one of the strategies to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The success of the vaccination has to do with the speed with the shortest time that you can vaccinate the population and with the highest percentage of the vaccinated population, these are the keys to vaccination ”, he emphasized.
Before the government announcement, Alemán advised that the population group that requires the booster apply it, since it was evident that over time the response to the vaccine seemed to decrease in several people. Among the patients were those over 60 years of age, health workers or those with an immunosuppression problem. He clarified that an antibody test is not a factor in determining whether or not you need the booster dose.
