The manager of the Epmaps, Othón Zeballos, said the company was paralyzed due to the instability she went through, referring to the struggle for mayor that was generated after the removal of Jorge Yunda and all the legal entanglement that it generated.
The manager assured that the December 5 and 6 will launch the first tender for $ 57.9 million for the construction of the Paluguillo – Puembo section, which will be the first step to transport the vital liquid to the Calderón parish.
He also pointed out that after the award, the start of the work could be in March or April 2022 and from there the 18 months that the work will be delayed will count.
Mayor Santiago Guarderas indicor that there was a greater neglect in Epmaps. “The crisis lasted four months, but in two years nothing was done,” he said.
He also criticized that the award of contracts to the Geinco company, which now has observations issued by the State Comptroller General’s Office, caused a setback in the management of the company. (I)
