Xavier Giler Reyes was murdered in the middle of bushes in a populous neighborhood in the center of the Olmedo canton, in Manabí, last Tuesday night.
According to preliminary data, subjects who were mobilizing on a motorcycle allegedly attacked Giler, who was also traveling in a similar vehicle. When he realized that he was being pursued, he tried to flee, but was hit by gunfire in that area, it was said.
William Borja, deputy chief of the May 24 Police District, indicated that when they arrived in the area they verified the death of the citizen, and at that moment even a relative was next to the body.
