Russia will think about extending the “grain deal”, there are still a couple of days for this. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, he stressed that the Russian side would extend it only when the promises made to it were fulfilled.

So far, Putin said, Russia has not received anything under these agreements. The President called this state of affairs “a one-sided game.”

Meanwhile, the day before it was reported that UN Secretary General António Guterres sent a letter to Putin regarding the extension of the “grain deal”. In the message, Guterres outlined a proposal aimed at harmonizing the further implementation of the grain agreement. The UN Secretary General, in particular, proposed in the letter to “remove the obstacles affecting financial transactions through the Russian Agricultural Bank”, which causes serious concern on the part of Moscow, and “simultaneously ensure the continuation of the flow of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.”

Putin himself said that he had not yet seen the letter from the UN Secretary General. “No, I haven’t seen a new letter, but we are in contact with UN staff,” Putin said.
