It is about a Venezuelan and an Ecuadorian who two months ago stole a high-end watch from a foreigner; a week ago another citizen was robbed.
In a commercial plaza in La Puntilla, two subjects were arrested on Tuesday morning by agents of the National Police. These are two of the three men who have committed several assaults along La Puntilla and on the road to Samborondón in recent weeks.
They profiled those who circulated through commercial areas and assaulted them, said the police who discovered them.
“Two months ago a watch valued at $ 25,000 was stolen from a foreigner. A couple of weeks ago a woman was assaulted in the sector of a sports club. A week ago they robbed a man who was walking along First Street in La Puntilla, ”explained Colonel Hugo Silva, Samborondón police chief.
The two detainees were in a black car, which they have used in some robberies. The police are looking for a third member of the gang, who regularly rides a motorcycle that is used for the escape.
Colonel Silva explained that a firearm was found on the suspects.

The detainees were identified as Leonardo M., a 37-year-old Ecuadorian, who recorded an arrest in 2018 for receiving stolen things; and Anderson C., a 28-year-old Venezuelan citizen, arrested in flagrante delicto when he committed a robbery in 2019.
Colonel Silva mentioned that for now the suspects have been detained for possession of weapons, but he urges the victims to recognize them and file a complaint with the Judicial Police so that they may be prosecuted for the assaults. (I)
