The Russian government decided to provide the FSB with round-the-clock remote access to the information databases of taxi aggregators, in accordance with the established procedure. The corresponding document comes into force on September 1, 2023.
According to Kommersant, experts point out that information about the geolocation and means of payment of passengers can be transmitted only upon request, now the FSB receives direct access.
Thus, the aggregator provides a subdivision of the federal security service body with round-the-clock remote access to information systems and databases used to receive, store, process and transmit passenger taxi orders, in the manner established for organizers of the dissemination of information on the Internet. In order to gain access to the relevant information, the FSB may also apply to the taxi order service with a request to provide the information contained in the order registration log in electronic form. The taxi aggregator provides the requested information within 3 working days or 10 working days from the date of receipt of the request.
At the same time, they should not disclose information about specific facts and the content of interaction with the FSB.
